What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

- Knowing that my contributions and teaching is helping pave the way for students in the future as new generations are key in letting society develop. - Interaction with younger individuals. With most of my life spent studying I mostly encounter older individuals imparting their knowledge onto me so it tutoring is a great chance for me to do the same.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

- Adaptability: Teaching at a Sunday school I had to adapt styles according to the student I was interacting with, whether it be using creative analogies to get them to understand the concept or being direct and firm to keep them focused as examples - Enthusiastic: I really enjoy interacting with others and am very extroverted. I believe that my positive and enthusiastic nature will help influence others and make the learning space more comfortable. - Empathetic: As a student that only graduated high school in 2018 I can empathize with the children as I understand what they are going through.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Offer Support: When the going gets tough a tutor needs to be able to offer support to the student both mentally and with work. - Enable Autonomy: Teaching students independence and how to learn by themselves as this is a necessary skill for the future and helps them understand what types of learning works best. - Build Confidence: Tutors should build confidence in students so they feel like they are improving. As a student improves, they will participate and trust in themselves to perform better in key assessments.
