What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Allowing students to understand complex concepts within a variety of subject areas, and consequently watching their academic performance rise is what motivates me. I believe that with the right mentoring, any student is capable of achieving their goals in any subject area. I try to ensure that a student understands and is able to apply the information that they struggle with, rather than simply explaining it to them. Using analogies and study "tips" in enabling students to enhance their performance and flourish in their weakest subjects is what drives me to pursue tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths are being able to break down complex concepts into simple terms, in order to assist students with the comprehension of their subject material. I am able to ensure that students do not merely understand a subject, but are able to apply their knowledge and reflect on their own weaknesses in pursuing their academic goals. Tutoring acted as a way for me to consolidate my own knowledge and understanding throughout my high school education, and so I am confident in my abilities to illustrate this understanding when mentoring students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor should ensure that a student does not simply memorize material, but that they understand it. Understanding is not enough, however, and so I believe tutors should actively focus on allowing students to apply concepts that they have learned to consolidate their understanding and comprehension of the source material. It is important for tutors to be able to break down relatively difficult concepts into simple terms to allow their pupils to grasp an understanding of it, and so I believe that someone who may excel in a subject area may not necessarily make a good tutor if they cannot do so.
