What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Building a rapport with students and helping them achieve their goals; helping the students improve their writing and comprehension skills, their vocabulary, and perhaps most importantly, their confidence in their own abilities.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I'm very friendly and personable, able to get along with everyone and build a lasting relationship between my students that allows me to get the best results from them. I think it's important to have a positive and friendly rapport with students, which will make them more conducive to study. They can see that I have a passion for what I'm doing, and for the English language, and this often has a vicarious effect on their own work and progress. My background in creative writing allows me to approach tutoring from a different angle, and it's always my priority to engage students creatively.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Improving their skills and marks is obviously very important, but I believe that the students' confidence is of paramount importance. When they see what they are capable of and how much they can improve over only a short period of time, this has a cumulative effect on their self-confidence, which in turn spurs them on to greater heights and bigger goals. Once they are aware of how much they can achieve, they are also able to develop skills to work independently, managing their time and motivation far more effectively. They can carry these skills through the rest of their studies and careers.
