What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The fact that you get the opportunity to share your strengths, help give someone hope and a chance to work at their best potential to achieve what they deserve!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
An individualized approach to the students, where I help students work out what techniques work best for them to build skills that allow them to study smart. This was a bit challenging when implemented during the short term volunteer tutoring a year ago, but soon built confidence to step outside my comfort zone and deliver the best service I can.
Focus on the student's needs/concerns.
My positive/friendly nature. You don't know what someone's going through, so be the light;be kind, supportive, professional and considerate, you never know when you might brighten up someone's day/life.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Provide support: Make it feel like you are a team, be supportive, positive, friendly, open and approachable.
Put your best effort, dedication speaks.
Be considerate about the student's concerns, what they want to achieve, what are his/her goals and try to do your best to help them achieve this.
Help the student identify their strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly.
Try to put yourself in the student's shoes.
Be interactive, build an understanding and provide techniques that work best for the student. Share your experiences and what worked for you as a student.
