What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
From past personal experiences, it is plain to say that I have found enjoyment assisting and helping friends in areas where I was able to; and being helped in return.
Similarly, from helping my younger cousins understand a concept by simplifying it and seeing them more confident with learning, I have also come to realise the task is also gratifying and rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As an individual who values all varieties of learning and education and see the importance of how it enriches our life actions and activities, I am understanding of the difficulties sometimes encountered in a learning process yet still very positive. My belief is that it is about learning to learn and that efforts are never wasted. Having also just recently completed grade 12, the experiences as a secondary school student is still relatively fresh and it is easy for me to recognise pressure, loss of motivation or organisation and other factors, and to know what to advice for them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Being understanding of students' learning experiences; whether it is confident about the topic or frustrated and disappointed when they don't yet "get it", the perspective helps me more likely able to keep a student's learning energy alive, thus more efficiently helping them.
Though unfortunate, it is understandable and very human to easily stray off track and procrastinate the work, particularly when the finishing line doesn't even seem close. As tutor I would assist by being the discipline and little push we often may need in order to see the bigger improvements and achievements later.
