What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring can be like solving a puzzle as each student learns differently. In order to be an effective tutor, you have to figure out what's the most effective means to teach the student and that riddle is my favourite part of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am patient and I try to keep things light-hearted with humour but I don't get distracted from the subject at hand.
I am also empathetic and make it a point to listen to my students and better evaluate my strategies through their feedback.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor can listen to the student before giving advice or teaching. Listening is important as it allows a tutor to understand why the student may be having difficulties grasping subjects or topics and choose alternative strategies to help the student. Explaining a topic over and over again often doesn't work and a tutor needs to be open to hearing the worries and criticisms of their own teaching style to do better.
