What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I like seeing that I am able to help someone improve and understand things that they couldn't before. It also helps me consolidate my own learning sometimes as I have to think more deeply about the topic to find a proper way to explain it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am always willing to learn and improve, and after each session with a student I would reflect on the lesson to determine if I was teaching them the right way or if things were getting through to them. From this I would be able to determine if I should continue with the current method or to try a different way of looking at problems.
After traveling a lot I would say I am very open minded and now try to look at things from many different points of view, which I believe is very helpful in teaching. I would also be willing to let students contact me outside of teaching hours if they need help.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To find a way to explain problems to a student that suits that particular student, as you can explain something to someone for a long time, but they may still be unable to understand it if it isn't presented in a way that is suitable for their learning style. I think it is also important to be able to answer questions outside of the tutoring time occasionally, as the student may have urgent things they need help with.
