What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Having tutored students one-on-one for three years, I have found tutoring to be an extremely rewarding opportunity for me to interact with students of different ages as part of my passion for helping students learn. Though it takes patience and persistence in considering different ways of teaching and different learning strategies for each individual, seeing my students improve over time and strive to achieve small (and big) steps in their learning goals fulfils my desires in helping others and sharing my knowledge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Over the past few years of teaching, my enthusiasm for working with children and teaching has proved to make me hugely motivated for tutoring as it not only helps me connect better with my students to gauge their current learning abilities/levels and decide how to help them improve from then on, but I also believe I can understand the emotions and problems that children commonly face nowadays. My patience, active listening, communication skills, responsibility and organisation skills have also greatly helped me in tutoring, which I believe I will continue building upon.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think to be able to personalise teaching plans and tailor tutoring sessions to the specific learning needs & strategies of each individual student is crucial to achieve the best learning outcome and get the most out of tutoring from the perspective of the student. Aside from that, a tutor should have good listening skills, creativity, patience at all times help enable better communication flow and to build good tutor-student relationships.
