What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My chosen career path as a dietitian was largely due to the fact that I am passionate about helping others. Working with younger adults is also something I am particularly interested in and am hoping to specialise in this age group as a future dietitian. Helping to shape individuals' lives and assist them to excel to reach their goals to set them up for life is amazingly rewarding. Furthermore, It is great that tutoring enables both the tutor and the student to learn and as I love learning and really enjoy passing this enthusiasm onto others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am intelligent and have a excelled in all different areas of study yet acknowledge I do not know everything there is to know. I am quick to learn and also know where to find reliable and valid information if in need of assistance. I am a patient person and am genuinely interested in sharing my knowledge and experiences to help others. I am compassionate, friendly, approachable and positive as well as have great interpersonal skills. I get along with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and of different ages.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
1. Working with the student to establish student-centred goals.
2. Being reliable and widely available for the student. Being a student can be stressful, therefore being just a phone call away if an assignment deadline is approaching to assist in overcoming hurdles that may arise can be a huge comforter to avoid unnecessary stress. Further to this, being punctual, meeting deadlines and following through on tasks.
3. Showing interest in the student and the task as well as maintaining a positive attitude to motivate and inspire the student as well as make the tutoring experience enjoyable.
