What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When I'm tutoring my younger brothers it's always a good chance to refresh and practice my skills and knowledge, even if it's primary school level sometimes. I also find my brothers will often find a question even I am not able to solve on my first attempt. The questions my brothers ask me when I try to explain concepts to them also makes it a great learning experience and exposes the gaps in my knowledge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I think I'd be good at maintaining a casual and fun learning environment while staying on task. By keeping the vibes loose and comfortable, I'd hope to encourage transparent and genuinely questions on the material, which would overall lead to a more enjoyable and effective learning experience.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor's most important role is to guide students through their learning journey, introducing concepts clearly and helping them connect ideas. For me, a tutor can do this best by getting to know the student personally, and by taking a personal approach, tailor the content to their interests and learning style while factoring things like their strengths, weaknesses and mood. For instance, a tutor might teach basic algebra to a student who's more spatially aware by tailoring their explanations to moving variables from one side to another, or substituting variables with familiar objects.
