What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy building close relationships with other students and helping them realise their potential by doing the best that they can, whether that be learning a new skill or perfecting a current one. Further to this, I find it extremely rewarding and fulfilling to see a student's academic and personal development, knowing that I was able to play a small part in that progress.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe that I have a solid grasp of Maths and English fundamentals, as well as a clear understanding of the current school curriculum. Further to this, I am able to explain concepts and ideas concisely to others. Finally, I believe that I am a friendly and approachable person, who is always happy to give advice and counsel about not only a student's academic progress, but also their personal development.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that the overarching role of a tutor is to have a lasting, positive impact on a student, and this is possible through various means. Firstly, they can support the student academically, by guiding them through difficult or foreign concepts step-by-step. Through this, a tutor can immensely improve a student's self-confidence and engagement with the subject by providing confirmation and encouragement throughout the learning process. Finally, tutors can act as long-term mentors for the student, providing advice and counsel in areas outside of the taught subject.
