What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I haven't had any previous experience in tutoring, there are many aspects that interest and excite me as someone who is highly inquisitive! I would love the opportunity to broaden students' knowledge and skills, while always maintaining a positive, open and comfortable space. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed learning in school, particularly maths and english, so I wish to apply my expertise to benefit others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would provide various strengths as a tutor, such as my expertise in both maths and english. I highly valued attaining a successful organisation, which involved exceeding in all my subjects. Hence, I believe I am a reliable resource to teach others. In addition, I am always approachable for students regardless of whether it's related to tutoring or not, and believe that I can create a friendly environment with open communication. In doing so, I will always add a bit of humour and positivity into the session in order for the students to enjoy it more, as this will enhance their learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A factor that I consider to be profound as a tutor is developing an open and positive environment. I believe it's important for a student to feel that they can communicate with me regarding any matter, and that I'm there to help them as more than just a tutor! To add, another significant factor is organisation and communication. I believe a tutor should be proactive in planning lessons and providing additional resources, while also actively responding to messages, and planning future sessions.

Ella has learnt how to calculate all types of addition questions and really understood the foundations of multiplication. We also noted down rules that will help her when answering questions which she was more than open to using!
I think it would be good for Ella to remind herself of how and why she is calculating each question as this will build a greater understanding of the concepts.
Ella has really improved her addition skills, and can work out sums in her head! She also gave every subtraction question a go.
