What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I have not had much experience in tutoring, however I have helped many of my peer understand complicated concepts in Maths or even in English. I enjoy the satisfaction of my peers understanding what the topics are about and finding it a breeze to complete questions because of my help. Furthermore, I learn more content that I never knew I needed through tutoring my peers so itβs a win-win situation!
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am patient and I can communicate well. I understand that all students do not learn at the same pace and some may need more time than others. Hence, I believe it is essential to let students know they have time to fully grasp onto a topic, but if it gets too close to exams, I would be able to find shortcuts to make them understand a topic better. I also am able to communicate ideas clearly to others and I believe this will be useful for me to teach students well and with confidence.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Believing in the students is the most important thing a tutor can do for their student. Some students may not believe in themselves and will need an extra boost or encouragement to believe they can do it as every student has the potential to do well. It all depends in the amount of motivation they have and how willing they are to put in the necessary effort to strive. This can be further enhanced if a teacher (or tutor like me) is present to push them to keep going.
