What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The reason I enjoy tutoring is because of its rewarding nature. The opportunity to contribute to a student's academic journey is extremely satisfying. Helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in areas of academic weakness is highly fulfilling. Moreover, tutoring, compared to many other jobs, offers a much better work-life balance, allowing me to enjoy what I do while also allowing personal time. Overall, my impact on student academic growth and a healthy work-life balance have allowed me to truly enjoy tutoring.

My strengths as a tutor are my effective communication with students and guardians and my ability to tailor lessons and teaching patterns to suit each student's unique needs. Also, I possess the ability to construct highly effective lesson plans that target student weaknesses. Moreover, I have the ability to provide quality feedback that helps build the students up rather than discourage them. On top of what is mentioned above, my ability to build strong connections with students and parents or guardians allows for long-lasting, positive relationships.

The most important thing a tutor can do for students is make them enjoy the tutoring session. As an individual who has been tutored and has tutoring experience, building a good relationship with the student will allow them to engage exponentially more during the session. This then sets the student up for success. This involves asking students what things they like and forming conversations about these topics. This establishes common ground, allowing the student to view you as having similar interests rather than a complete stranger helping them with school.
