What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love to learn, so the ability to help others enjoy their learning experience is my favourite aspect of tutoring. I also find the opportunity to interact one on one with students to be enjoyable as you are able to truly assess their individual needs and support them more efficiently and effectively than in a large group setting.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am patient and a good listener. I believe these attributes are extremely important because so much of tutoring is understanding where help is needed and offering support in a patient and compassionate way so that the student is able to learn.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is create a safe environment where the student feels comfortable to try things without fear of being wrong. Often kids feel a lot of judgement in the school environment and can lose their confidence to even attempt questions/activities that are well within their capabilities. I think making it known that it is okay to get things wrong and it will be met by the tutor with kindness and willingness to keep trying and improving is vital to any prospect of learning.
