What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the relationship I build with each student, and getting to know them beyond what they can show me on paper. There has never been a dull moment in my role as a tutor, and I have found this experience very rewarding to watch each student grow in their academic confidence, whilst they apply their academic skillset to their work.

I have been able to adapt to a wide range of age groups (5-18) providing general support and guidance around study enhancement techniques, essay writing, and exam prep, whilst tailoring each lesson to a range of academic levels and age-appropriate needs, in a structured and engaging manner.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutors must foster growth, independence, and a goal-oriented mindset so that each student can strive to overcome learning challenges, recognise their milestones, and identify any incompetencies in their work. This will ultimately strengthen their academic confidence, and allow students to grow from their mistakes.

Youssef depicted several creative examples to plan his letter, and asked questions when unsure. He identified many synonyms for simple words, demonstrating an improved vocabulary.
We will continue to practice spelling words correctly, using syllables to break down each word. Youssef will need to work on grammar and punctuation, as he is unfamiliar with the use of propper nouns, capital letters, and where to use commas. Sentence structure and handwriting will also need to be improved, so that his writing is coherent and readable. I found that Youssef struggles to stay focused, and accurately follow instructions. We will continue to work on these academic skills, as he is very determined and enthusiastic to demonstrate self-improvement.
