What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love giving kids confidence. Throughout my experience tutoring, I've seen kids of different backgrounds too scared to study. I like watching them grow until eventually they don't feel the need to be tutored anymore. That's mostly my goal when it comes to teaching.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I'm adaptable and willing to work with the client about how best to approach their own studying. Whether it be assisted study, assisted examination or one-on-one testing, I find every child is unique and should be treated uniquely. I also know how to implement real world examples into discussions, particularly on science-related topics.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think a tutor should provide a fun, engaging and different approach to studying. A tutor should ask questions in a way a teacher hasn't got the time to do. They should always ask what the student wants and implement strategies as to how to attain these goals. But, perhaps at the forefront of responsibility, a tutor should always make sure the student is comfortable-- comfortable with the content, comfortable with the answers, and comfortable with moving forward to the next challenge. There is no point to tutoring if the client does not feel they have truly learned and can move on.
