What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As I was once a student in high school who was in the same situation and difficulties as them, I can relate to them emotionally and mentally. Thus, tutoring these students allows me to pass on my knowledge and helpful advice to ease their high school journey. Another aspect of tutoring I adore is the social connections you get to make with your students along the way. This gives me the opportunity to learn new things aboout myself and other people.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am organised, I aim to teach my students topics that will be covered in class to ensure they are prepared for what's to come ahead. My sociable personality makes me approachable and easy to talk to. My previous experience of tutoring for almost 2 years equips me with various skills such as adaptability, which allows me to shape my teaching methods to better suit each students' unique style of learning. I have also been taught from an Australian school, thus I am well aware of the HSC/NESA syllabus and how to best navigate it to get the most revision/learning out of it when studying for exams

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Firstly identifying the student's various strengths and areas of improvement is very significant to give a general idea of which topics to focus/skills on the most whilst teaching them. Another key area that a tutor should investigate further is the student's most effective way of learning specific concepts e.g. visual, written, auditory etc. A tutor must be then flexible enough to change their tutoring style to meet student's best way of understanding a specific topic. A tutor must earn how to create a safe environment for students to allow them to be comfortable talking about difficulties
