What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find it quite rewarding to pass on my knowledge and skills to students knowing that it would benefit them in the long run and help them achieve their own success in the future. At the same time, I also enjoy learning about different ways students most effectively learn and challenge myself to find new and effective teaching strategies.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor and as a current university student, I can build good rapport with the students due to my recent experiences as a high school student. I believe I have the patience to fully grasp and understand students' weaknesses and strengths which provides a strong starting point to a learning plan. I can also be quite creative with my teaching style as a I understand that every student learns better through different methods.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing for a tutor to do is to actively listen their students' concerns and questions and be honest with feedback or comments on their progress. Whilst feedback can sometimes be discouraging, it is always important to provide constructive feedback to students regularly to make them aware of areas that can be improved. Along with feedback, it is good to create goals and strategies to overcome those weaknesses.
