My strengths as a tutor are the fact that I am empathetic as I understand what it is like to be a student who may lack confidence in themselves and feel stressed or overwhelmed by new material and concepts. I am a good listener so I can listen and help with the misconceptions the student may have about a certain topic. Most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be enthusiastic and display love for the subject they are teaching as it motivates the student to enjoy learning it too. A tutor should ask questions to test knowledge as well as encourage independence by providing student with strategies and encourage them to become more effective learners by putting forth an effort to benefit from tutoring.
