What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I believe seeing the results come to light from my effort as a tutor is what I enjoy most. Moreover, forming a mentor-mentee connection with the student besides just an academic relationship is really fulfilling as I am able to improve their overall student experience. Also, it gives me a greater appreciation of my subject matter, being able to communicate my understanding and experiences to students whilst also expanding my own knowledge. It creates an ongoing learning experience for myself and the student, which is such a great opportunity that tutoring provides.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

ATAR - 97.20 currently studying Bachelor of Information Systems (Co-op) (Honours) at UNSW My strengths as a tutor is my determination and passion for my subject matter. I don't restrict myself to just the syllabus. I always aim to go above and beyond and draw links to current affairs, and interesting concepts, particularly in economics, but also mathematics. Also, many tutors are experts in subject matter, but often, aren't able to communicate this effectively. I believe this is a very important skill, and is one that I am very strong at. Being a co-op scholar, I have fostered my leadership and communication skills.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe forming a mentor-mentee connection with the student is important in their learning experience as this enhances their motivation to learn and come to class every week. Also, I believe just being there for a student no matter what day or what time it is, is very important. As a fresh graduate myself, I know how stressful it can be during exam or assessment period, with so much content to revise. A tutor makes this so much easier to go through, revising core concepts or giving constant feedback. Also, a tutor should be able to cater to different learning needs and requirements.
