What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to help other students that are struggling in subjects. Many students end up with teachers who don't provide enough support or have enough time to help a struggling student catch up to the rest of the class, or also not having enough time to help advanced students make small improvements to the top of mark bands. I want to be able to help students achieve their goals and potential.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I had a lot of tutors while I was in High school, ranging from when I struggled with maths in year 10, to excelling in maths and physics in years 11 and 12. Some tutors helped me significantly, and I believe I can take the best parts of each of their methods to assist students of varying skill levels.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe personalisation is the most important thing a tutor can do. Coming to class with a lesson plan, so that the student doesn't have to provide questions if they are excelling and have completed all resources provided by the teacher. Yet you must also be able to alter this plan throughout the lesson in order to focus on where the student is most struggling, and also provide sufficient time for the student to ask questions to deepen their understanding; nothing feels worse as a student than going to your tutor only to be given a lecture and not be guided through learning.
