What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring Mathematics, mostly statistics. Statistics is the fundamental of all analysis. Using real examples e.g. how randomly the NSW transport officers pop in a light rail to check whether passengers have tapped on their cards is a plus in educating the students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I like to use illustrations and examples while teaching. For example, asking a student to toss a fair coin when trying to explain the law of chances/probability makes the student understand the subject matter than just listening theoretically.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor helps the student understand the subject matter in detail and at ease. He/she breaks the complex problem which require analytical skills to simpler arithmetic problems a student can work on. This in turn builds confidence in the student who in turn can easily interpret exam-setting questions as well as real life logic with ease.

We spent 1hr 30min going through some questions. I realised Robert was a bit tensed about the upcoming HSC test. He hadn't done quite well in English and Literature in his recent exams. He is starting his exams this week: English on Wednesday and Thursday.
Encouraged him to see the test as one more. He had significantly improved in Economics. I also tried to encourage him in Maths...to carry the formula/mathematical tables - formula in place, substitution, and then answer
It went well...I asked Robert to time himself for 40-50 minutes for section 2...40 marks at stake

Robert needs to polish a few things...
Last week, Robert had his graduation party at Rosebay. He asked we postpone the session.

We finished section 2 of a mock exam.
He improved from 60% to 76% He scored 17/20 in both Essays...the highest bracket! It is the fruit of the work we have put in when it comes to essay based questions

He needs to put more flesh in section 2. He highlights/states instead of explain/discuss hence he misses out on key marks. He scored a 26/40 but he could have easily scored >35 if he supports his points with tangible examples in the Australian context
