What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love tutoring. The way I used to study specially for intensive courses in high school was by teaching myself.
I personally love a good challenge hence I really enjoy giving quizzes and asking questions in class as that keeps the students engaged as well as gives them a bit of a challenge to look forward to.
I've had the privilege of learning from tutors who were really good at what they were doing, and I remember the positive influence they had on me with their guidance. I scored really high at the exam and I want to pass this on to more students as I know the value of a good tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have the sharpened the skill of giving out clear and concise instructions which I revamped from my time working as a supervisor in hospitality. I would be conscious of the different ways different students digest information hence would make my instructions crystal clear, going over each point to ensure everyone understands.
I also have prior experience tutoring advanced math. This was right after I graduated from high school and the three of the students, I taught received an A grade for advanced level math thus I can draw from this experience at all times.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Give clear instructions and make their teaching precise to any and all students of different levels of intelligence.
Give attention and time to each student but at the same time vary the support given to students based on their level of proficiency.
Give soldi practice material to prepare them for assessments and review their answers regularly and show them where they lost points but also appreciate them for what they had done well.
It'll be fantastic if tutors could be available for students outside of class hours - be approachable when faced with a doubt at any time.
