What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The biggest positive about tutoring is the ability to make learning fun for someone else. I feel a sense of achievement when my students grasp what I teach them and apply it while studying independently. The two of us are collaborating towards progress and I really love that.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am patient while clearing doubts and explaining concepts repeatedly. This comes from years of tutoring peers and younger cousins. I am fluent in English and am also a good listener. I know how to have realistic expectations and set reasonable goals. I have a lot of informal experience babysitting and entertaining children in my neighbourhood, so I am familiar with their mannerisms and behaviour. I am not expecting model students and fast learners. Lastly, I enjoy tutoring. I think students respond to the enthusiasm they sense from their tutors so this is very important.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In the short run, it is to ensure that they are grasping the concepts in the curriculum. In the long run, the most important thing is to shape their learning habits and change the way they approach concepts so that they are not disheartened by difficulty or sheer amount of learning that awaits them.
