I consider the time and space a tutor gives to the student the most important thing. It is all about what they, as the student, are comfortable with. However, this does not stop another important aspect; pushing a student through their limits in order to achieve their goals. These are the most important things a tutor can do for a student. I…
To believe in the students ability to take what they've learnt in the session out into practice and to take part in individual study to further improve their skills as a student, particularly going into more serious years of high school. My ability to cater for a students individual concerns and needs. I know that ALL students have different…
To help students understand concepts and actually retaining them, not just being able to solve questions for a moment and forgetting it after that. I explain difficult concepts using examples from daily life. This tends to make it far easier for people to accept them more…
To be able to build a personal relationship with the student where the student is comfortable to ask questions as to what they don't understand, and be able to answer them clearly and patiently. Thus the student can understand the concept. A tutor should also be able to prescribe the student effective study strategies and homework the student can…
Give them the motivation and incentive to learn independently and proactively. Firstly, my academic background in both Art and Finance equip me a solid understanding of writing expression and Maths applications.
Secondly, my work experience as a management trainee in private banking and as a credit analyst in JPMorgan has trained me to be…
Ensure that the student is gaining confidence and is improving. I believe its not the final result that counts, but its ensuring the student's mental health is taken care or whilst the student is experiencing a steady improvement. I believe I am a person with strong moral values that can grasp concepts relatively quickly. I also memorise content…
Every student is different; therefore, understanding students' unique learning styles, weaknesses, and strengths is key to supporting their learning to the fullest. My passion and background in communication and creating a positive safe space, as well as my interpersonal skills really show my strengths as a…
A tutor should know the student's learning style well and be able to cater to their needs. A tutor should also provide a strong foundation to the subjects so that students can build upon this foundation and practice and get better in the future. A tutor should also build good, consistent study habits in the student, and build up the student's…
To be able to identify the students strengths and weaknesses before coming up with a teaching method that is suitable to their most preferred way of learning and the way of learning that they would be able to benefit most from. Additionally, making sure the student is comfortable enough to share what they do not understand or to feedback on what…
Shape them into a better individual through subject knowledge and also teach them the practical skills of life
Engage with them, listen to their problems and ideas and streamline those to come up with a mechanism to best teach the way they learn best Knowledge
Practical knowledge
Patience
Kind

Good time management…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is helping them improve their understanding on a subject and developing in them a genuine love and curiosity for learning through the use of different methods be it through drawing or reward systems. The most important things would include being a good role model for the children by…
Being patient with a student has to be the most important. Learning isn’t the same for everyone and some areas of learning are harder for some people. Remaining patient and staying kind while a child is learning is extremely important. I am a patient person, who can think creatively and how to teach subjects in different ways to suit different…
According to me, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is be a good listener. It is very important to know and understand why a student is facing a problem in a particular situation so that it can be tackled. The tutor should also be compassionate and patient toward the student and should be able to adapt themselves as per the…
Often it is the response from students that they'll never have to remember or use the content they learn again in their life, but that misses the fact that the act of learning these subjects, establishes a new kind of problem solving brain-wiring in your mind. It's not always important what you learn (depending on your career choice) but rather…
I think the most important things I can do for a student revolve around mentorship. Being a tutor is not just about imparting information and tips to the student. It is recognising the student as a whole, looking after their mental wellbeing, and ensuring that what they're learning is being tailored to them, rather than a cookie-cut approach. A…
Understand his/her concern and teach the things in most amicable and productive way so that the student loves learning. Amicable to students, Cooperative and understanding, Time management…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student are to listen to them to gauge their level of knowledge and interest in a subject, then to offer motivation and positive reinforcement. This gives the student the confidence to help 'drive' the learning process, with the tutor guiding that process by offering information, skills and…
In addition to inculcating academic knowledge in students, a tutor can help students become more passionate towards a subject and can enable the student to grow as a holistic individual by providing moral support and mentorship for the student and helping the student grow in his/her values. I believe that I am extremely patient and do not mind…
Support my students and give them the skills to excel in their education while also fulfilling their goals. This can mean different things for different students, so depending on the goals and needs of the students we can together curate a study plan for success. I can relate to students as I too have gone through the same stage so I can help…
I consider a tutor responsibility towards students is to be committed and flexible. The tutor should be with their student even if both have been going through the exam period. The tutor should never cancel on a lesson with a student for their own studies. As well, it is a must to be patient towards the student and be flexible as a tutor to learn…
We are very happy with the tutoring services we are receiving through your company and my daughters tutor, Alfred. Alfred has been very flexible in fitting in with Jayda's schedule and learning needs and we foresee a lengthy tutoring relationship.
Dania our tutor is a blessing! My daughter is able to open up to Dania and has managed to engage conversations/ relationship/ trust and so just after a few lessons she's now able to have a better understanding of maths concepts where as before she was really struggling to comprehend it. Although my daughter still has much more to learn I'm confident that Dania will be able to take her to the next level.
We had our 1st session tonight with David and it went really well. My son connected with him immediately even though he was nervous about tutoring and didn't really want to do it prior to tonight. After he had his session with David he said it was fun! I was pleasantly surprised to hear him say that and he asked that David come back next week instead of waiting a fortnight! We are very happy so far.
