After some practise, Emily was able to calculate the area of triangles with ease and find the radius when given the diameter of a circle and vice-versa with very little difficulty. Emily also did well with most questions on the practise exam and should be commended on completing most of it without a calculator. It has been a pleasure tutoring Emily this semester and seeing how far she has come in Mathematics.
Emily had some trouble when calculating algebraic expressions when they involved negative numbers and decimals. as well as some trouble with calculating the area of some shapes, I worked through these questions with Emily however, some further revision can be done next year whilst moving into Year 8.

Remy did very well with surds, including simplifying surds, multiplying surds and binomial expansions. Remy and I also had a conversation about how to prepare for year 11 to gage expectations for study, organisation and exams.
Remy had some difficulty consolidating all the knowledge and combining it, however, with more practise.

Emily has been doing very well with all of the maths content covered in class and after doing further work on algebraic expressions Emily is showing great process whilst completing more complex problems. Emily was able to find unknown angles in a triangle with ease, including those in isosceles triangles (equal angles).
Emily had some trouble with identifying the types of triangles based upon angles sizes and lengths of sides, thus, we will continue to revise the types of triangles and their properties in future.

Remy found probability very easy, completing questions on the addition and product rule, finding the probability of two independent events occurring together. Remy found most of the statistics content that was revised fairly simple as well, after refreshing knowledge of mode, median and mean, as well as how to read cumulative frequency histograms and box plots.
Although Remy understood all of the statistics content after a bit of practise, it would be good to do some further revision during future lessons.
