What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
My greatest joy in tutoring would be that eureka moment when a student finally begins to understand the topic at hand and truly enjoys what they're learning. Along with trying to understand the student's personal motivations to make studying fun and enjoyable for them.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Other than mainly academic help, I believe my unique strengths lie in my life experiences, and amiable and dedicated attitude. As a student, I relate to the struggles of having several commitments to balance and can provide my own learnings on core life skills such as time management and personal development for long-term academic success. As well as any advice for students interested in early career education (ie. hsc and uni experience, student Internships, job opportunities and resume Help).
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important and powerful thing a tutor can do for a student is help them realise their untapped potential. Any student, regardless of their past scores, is capable of academic success with the right tools, methods and experience to guide them. I hope to empower my students to believe in their own potential and build confidence.

- Improving Readability: From this exercise, Anaiah learned how to identify areas in her writing that could be trimmed to enhance readability, helping her avoid unnecessary wordiness. - Solid Understanding of Film Techniques: Anaiah already has a strong grasp of film techniques, requiring only minimal reminders. She is still well-versed in the topic, having recently studied it. She was also enthusiastic about the homework, particularly because it allowed her to practice her understanding by drawing Mowgli.
- Developing Editing Skills: Anaiah still faces some challenges in identifying areas where she can cut or simplify her writing. This skill develops over time with practice. Sheβll continue to improve as she gets more accustomed to reading over and re-editing her work during assignments, especially when reminded to do so.

- Initially, Anaiah was a bit unsure about how to start writing, but this will improve with practice. She demonstrates enthusiasm in finding supporting evidence for her statements and paragraphs, often revisiting the text to reflect on it. She has shown improvement in the time she spends writing and is becoming faster as she gets more accustomed to the process.
- Anaiah can enhance the breadth of her language use, as her paragraphs sometimes have repeated sentences. While maintaining structure is beneficial, varying her word choice would make her writing appear more deliberate. Additionally, some focus should be applied in analysng texts from a literary and technical perspective, identifying where satire or film techniques are employed. English is a broad and open-minded subject where ideas can be supported or challenged based on evidence. Knowing how and where to find these examples is crucial and should be prioritized in her writing. With continued practice and exposure to text analysis, she is gradually improving in this area.

Anaiah has consistently demonstrated enthusiasm and creativity, often suggesting new topics that she is passionate about. She articulates her points convincingly, which gives her writing a strong and compelling voice. One of Anaiahβs strengths is her ability to start her sentences effectively, often using descriptive topic headers such as "Unfortunately..." to engage the reader and set the tone. This skill enhances the clarity and impact of her arguments.
During the brainstorming phase, it would be beneficial for Anaiah to focus solely on generating ideas without jumping into planning. Brainstorming is meant for freely exploring different ideas, regardless of their initial quality. Interrupting this process to plan can hinder the effectiveness of subsequent planning. Additionally, Anaiah occasionally faces challenges when starting her paragraphs. She could benefit from more practice in crafting strong topic sentences that clearly convey the main message and hint at the points she will develop later in the essay. A well-executed planning phase can significantly improve the quality of her writing, ensuring that her ideas are presented logically and cohesively. Overall, Anaiah shows great potential, and with continued practice and focus on these areas, I am confident she will continue to improve.
