What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy learning from the new perspectives each student brings, and finding new ways to explain concepts for someone to understand. I love the feeling of having helped someone else, and empowering them to improve. I think everyone can learn from anyone and tutoring is an awesome way to not only teach, but learn so I can more creatively help others in the future.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My empathy and honesty helps me ensure I approach what needs to be improved on in a positive way. It means I can get to know what does and doesn't work for someone. I've tried many study techniques throughout school, and I like to know why things are the way they are. For example, knowing how to derive things in math helps me understand and not just superficially remember things, and drawing pictures or creating funny mnemonics makes studying, tests, and exams more fun.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To make learning fun by offering different ways to explain concepts, getting to know the student's individual learning style, and emphasizing their strengths so they remain motivated. Additionally, helping them be organised and supported so that they do not get stressed and overwhelmed which can reduce enjoyment of and performance at school.
