What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Being able to help students understand concepts that they thought they couldn't, making them believe in themselves and realizing it wasn't as hard as they initially thought. Tutoring is very different from teaching a classroom of 25 or 40 students; when tutoring you can dedicate your whole time to that one student, either the one who's struggling the most or the one who's looking to excel in class.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

It's easy for me to position myself in someone else's shoes. I'm usually very good at identifying what my students don't understand (where they get stuck) and presenting them different ways of solving a problem. If they don't get one way of doing it, they'll get the next or I'll think of another, or we'll find a new way together.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Guide them and help them build their confidence as they learn. To a degree, that allows them to then learn on their own and become independent. The best part of being a tutor is when you realize your student no longer needs you.
