What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When it comes to tutoring, I really enjoy connecting with people and seeing their academic and personal confidence grow. It's that moment when a concept clicks in the student's brain that makes me feel rewarded. I love to see students work harder, not because they're being forced to but because they genuinely want to keep improving! I love tutoring because it allows me to be in a space where I can help others. Even when I was a little girl, I would teach my teddy bears. Now, I am studying for a Bachelor of Education. I feel honoured to say that I believe my ability to teach is a God-given gift.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my strengths in tutoring is my ability to explain concepts in a simple and straightforward manner. I am able to easily grasp each person's level of understanding and therefore, adjust my teaching accordingly. Another one of my strengths is my personality. I am friendly and people in my life often describe me as approachable! Reliability is also a strength I hold as I am transparent toward my students and employers. I will stay true to my word when I commit to helping a student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Tutors should execute multiple duties to ensure students' needs are met exceptionally. One duty includes building interpersonal relationships with students and creating a supportive environment so that learners will feel comfortable and encouraged to engage in lessons. Tutors should also have a solid grasp of the concepts being taught. Expertise in a subject can ensure that students trust their tutor. Feedback is another important aspect of tutoring. It is vital that tutors use positive reinforcement in lessons whilst also kindly correcting students' errors.
