I have a strong academic background which I believe is key in tutoring. I also have solid communication skills as I currently work alongside people at all levels (from juniors to partners), which is also an invaluable skill for tutoring. I have the ability to adapt my communication style to suit the particular person I am speaking with or writing to in order to deliver information in the most effective way. Helping students expand their knowledge and understanding around a topic is a given in tutoring as that is what students are coming to see tutors in the first instance. However, I believe that as someone with great knowledge and wisdom, a tutor also has a responsibility to help students acquire the skills to grow and learn.
