What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
An aspect I enjoy the most about tutoring is the ability to play such a fundamental role in the growth of a young mind. It is incredibly fulfilling to be able to share my own knowledge and see this positively impact another person. I am a strong advocate for the importance of young people being able to have academic support in order to achieve their full potential. From personal experience, I can appreciate how inspiring it can be as a young person, to have a mentor. Therefore, I find the ability to have such a great impact on a young person's life, the most rewarding aspect of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My two key strengths as a tutor are patience and adaptability. These strengths work together very well in order to have an enjoyable tutoring experience for both myself and the student. Every student is different, with various rates at which they learn and understand certain concepts. I believe the ability to understand the needs of each student, no matter how different they are, and do so with patience, is fundamental to being a good tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the two most important things a tutor can do for a student are to aid them in the learning gaps they may have and to help them in building a positive relationship with academics. It is common that if students may have a negative relationship with subjects they are not very confident in. Building confidence in these subjects is one of the most important things a tutor can do. Moreover, establishing a good study routine and attitude is the best long-term impact a tutor can provide. These skills will aid them in future tertiary studies as well as the workplace.
