Ayla was very focused and engaged today. She is improving in writing her numbers the correct way and identifying numbers on the 100s chart. She is a super star at her chance work!
When choosing a number to work with on the 100s chart, Ayla tends to choose the number 1. Next time I will choose a number for her or she can pick a number out of a lucky dip so she can work with more challenging numbers.

Ayla was the most focused today that she has ever been before. Maybe it was because we were in a different room with not many distractions. This will work a lot better from now on. She was really engaged in the chance games and activities, and started writing her numbers the correct way, the 100 chart probably helped her visualise the numbers.
There were still a few times where Ayla got a bit lazy and was still writing numbers backwards, so she had to be corrected. There were a few times where I had to say write it properly and she was not sitting still and listening to instructions.

Ayla was very focused today and did a great job on addition sums using the drawing and counting on strategy. She did a great effort in reading addition word problems and solving them. She was very engaged with the game at the end of the session. It is time to move onto new maths topics next week - algebra and chance!
Ayla got a bit tired and off-task at the end. She is still writing her numbers the backwards and in the wrong order. Next week we'll practice writing numbers the correct way.

Ayla did a very good job with her clock work, and her memory skills whilst playing the memory card game was fantastic. She made a good effort at learning a new addition skill. Well done.
Ayla was quite off focus today, she did not really have the right attitude to learn, maybe just tired. Needs work on subtraction skills but it is new content so understandable, we will work on it.
