What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I value the one-on-one connections I have with my students the most. Our connection begins with our first meeting, where we get to know each other and build trust and rapport as I create a safe space for them to ask questions, practise, and make mistakes. This connection then grows and develops with each lesson as we work through their personal and academic goals and achieve milestones that we have set together as a team. This is a very rewarding journey that I enjoy sharing with each of my students.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have worked as a tutor for many years and have worked with a range of personalities, and in turn learning styles. As such, my greatest strength is establishing the student's learning style and subsequently adapting my teaching methods to deliver information in a way that provides the best effect. My other notable strengths are patience and the ability to communicate effectively, using language and ideas my students can individually grasp while working with them to achieve set learning targets.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Collaborating with them. The tutor-student relationship should be viewed as a partnership. Keeping this at the forefront of lessons together will also promote important qualities such as patience and good listening skills that allow your student to feel comfortable enough to ask questions, express concerns or make mistakes. This also helps tutors develop a deeper understanding of their students as people, their learning styles and how you can present complex concepts in a way that makes sense to them while also being inspiring and engaging.
