What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the idea of having a lasting impact on a student's academic future. Although the interactive and personal "1-on-1" aspects of tutoring also appeal to me, there is a subtle, yet rewarding satisfaction associated with helping a student reach their academic goals, improve their overall confidence in an area of study or subject, or simply strengthen essential skills required to be a successful student. In other words, I enjoy tutoring due to the direct role I play in how students perform and achieve success both academically and beyond schooling.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths as a tutor would have to be how adaptive and direct I can be toward students and their individual learning styles. Having some past tutoring experience, I am able to adjust according to the individual needs of students, enabling them to learn at a pace that suits them. Moreover, having the ability to directly tell students exactly what they need to improve or already excel at without discouraging or demotivating them is one of the strengths I bring as a tutor. I am also a 2022 graduate from select-entry Nossal High School, meaning I have lots of experience dealing with and peer-teaching high-achieving students, pushing them academically when necessary.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I personally consider the interactive and "adaptive" aspects of being a tutor to be the most important things a tutor can do for their student. In my opinion, keeping the student engaged, such as through mini breaks or games between long sessions of work, is the most effective way of teaching them in a fun, yet informative manner.
