What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love helping students learn and seeing them improve. When a concept 'clicks' for a student, celebrating that achievement with them is the most rewarding part of tutoring and education in general.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I get along well with students of all high school year groups and I try to make learning fun, accessible, and engaging. If one method doesn't work for a student, I will explain something multiple ways. I'm dedicated to helping students achieve the best results they can, and in making their high school academic experience as enjoyable as possible.
Academically, I graduated from Barker College in 2022, achieving a 93 (Band 6) in NSW Standard 2 Maths and an 87 (Band 5) in Ancient History. My experience with tutoring has primarily been with my two younger brothers (year 9 and year 7 2023).
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that a tutor's job is more than teaching content; just as important is ensuring that the student remains engaged and feels comfortable and confident. A tutor should endeavour to make the content fun to learn and easier to understand, and most importantly the tutor should always encourage and support the student through any setbacks, celebrating achievements and progression.
The tutor should also be accommodating to the student's individual needs and adjust their method of teaching accordingly.
