What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the rewarding feeling that accompanies a tutoring role most. The opportunity to share my knowledge with others combined with the positive emotion experienced by students upon understanding a concept they have struggled with provides this rewarding feel I find most enjoyable about tutoring roles.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to explain new concepts in a relatable manner. In my experience, I've found my ability to utilise analogies and simplistic language as part of my repertoire when tutoring helps students gain a comprehensive understanding of these foreign concepts. Often new concepts can be explained using subject-specific terminology which can cause a sense of confusion, where I aim to oppose this by relaying my knowledge with more relatable language.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that providing a comprehensive understanding is the most important thing a tutor can do for a student. Often students can develop superficial knowledge of a topic or concept, which may be a successful short-term strategy, however, I believe for the student's long-term interests, it is valuable to ensure students' knowledge is genuine to help retain and apply such knowledge into their future studies.
