What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy the most about tutoring is when you are able to work through a problem with them and are able to see their face light up when they finally understand how to solve said problem. Not only does it bring you joy that they finally understand, it also brings a sense of confidence in your ability as a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor includes having compassion for the student. We were all students once and being able to understand what they are feeling and encouraging them to persist is something that I believe is important. Furthermore, I have experience in working with kids of all ages at my time at Zone Bowling, where I would run parties. From this I learnt how to create a safe and encouraging environment, an attribute that I would bring to the role as a tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be patient. As I mentioned previously, we were all students once and we understand the difficulties when we're struggling in a subject and the frustration that comes with it. With patience it shows the student that they are in a safe environment and will further give them the encouragement to persist.
