What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the look on peoples faces and their sense of accomplishment once they realise or understand something they previously thought they would never be able to. I like to be able to help people build their confidence and believe in themselves the same way my teachers did for me. When people say they'll never be able to do it and give up, I like being able to prove them wrong and show them they are capable of more than what they may think.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am friendly and passionate about teaching maths. I think that my excitement for the subject will rub off on others making them feel more excited and ready to learn and not so anxious. I also just finished high school so I am very familiar with many important and common mistakes that people tend to make, which allows me to expose the student to these common errors and help them to not make these same mistakes. I am very passionate about learning and teaching maths and I believe that when someone teaches with passion, students become more interested.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Get to know the student, specifically their own personal strenghts and weaknesses, as well as any gaps they may have in their knowledge in order to adapt the teaching method so it is more personalised and tailored to the individual because tutoring is a one on one situation. I think it's also important to get to a friendly, comfortable level with the student and build their confidence and trust to be able to make them feel more comfortable and learn easier.
