What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and watching them benefit and grow. My passion for teaching began when I was tutoring my brother and some of my friends who were unable to afford tutoring, and seeing them succeed in their studies was extremely rewarding. I wish to touch more students' lives in this manner and endeavour to be an inspiration for them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very determined and goal-focused person - this means that I try my very best to help my students understand the concept they are struggling with, by explaining it in a way that is tailored to their needs. I have experimented with many learning styles and therefore, I believe that I will be able to adapt to my students' learning styles. I am also a patient person, and tend to let my students attempt a problem in their own way before teaching them the right method (if time permits). Teaching is something I enjoy, and I believe such a job would always keep me motivated.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that one of the most important things is recognising students' needs and personalising their experience such that it is most beneficial for them. It is important to be empathetic and open-minded to a range of learning styles as a tutor, in order to assist in their academic journies. I also believe that a tutor should maintain a strong, personal and professional relationship with their students to let them be comfortable around them, so that students can clarify their doubts and ask questions when need be - as this is the purpose of tutoring!
