What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love that tutoring allows us to encourage students to love learning! Learning can be fun, and I think it is incredibly important to take on learning styles that make it fun, engaging, effective. Oft-times learning can be seen in a monotonous light, I'd love to assist changing this idea- fostering a love for education in my student!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am passionate and love to help where I can! I try to put as much efforts as I can into assisting others- hence why I would love to help my students- not at a surface level, rather by helping them tackle and overcome their struggles. I understand tutoring is not solely about the academics. Rather, it is very much about mentoring the student! Without the correct mindset/ mental space, hours of studying will be fruitless. Hence, as a tutor my aim will be to assist my student in building the correct mindset and consequently a firm foundation of knowledge.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The tutor's role is to focus on the student's holistic needs. It is our role to analyse and assess how the student best learns, for example, do they prefer hands on activities/ listening/ watching etc. Upon identifying their favourite learning style, it is the tutors duty to structure the lessons accordingly. The tutor must focus on the mental health of the student, as well as the academics. If the tutor sees that their student is feeling down/ struggling with the material, the least they can do is ask the student about how they are feeling, and what it is we can do to assist.
