What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
"Knowledge shared equals knowledge squared." I love being able to participate in the growth and success of others by sharing my knowledge. One of my long-term goals is to become a university professor and I believe that tutoring is a great place to start working toward achieving this goal. Not only has tutoring helped me learn how to effectively frame concepts for better understanding, but it has also helped me interact with other students on a personal level which has given me insights that will prove handy in my future career goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very patient, organized, diligent, and flexible in terms of my tutoring methods. I strive to understand the student's strengths and weaknesses in order to personalize their tutoring sessions. I possess great communication skills and organizational skills that will help to create or modify study plans best suited to the student with the knowledge, consent, and participation of their parents/guardians and teachers.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion, one of the most important things a tutor can and should do is to understand the student. Being able to tailor the student's tutoring sessions in order to incorporate connections to the student's interests and play to their strengths is a quality all good tutors should have. Another very important thing a tutor can do is to maintain an open, constant, and consistent communication channel with the student's parents/guardians and teachers in order to leverage their insights (as key adults in the student's life) to map a study plan geared toward the success of the student.
