What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to apply my abilities to help someone else. Mathematical concepts, specifically those in a physics context, have always come easily to me and I never liked watching the people around me struggle while I thrived, so being able to help them out was always fulfilling and made me feel like I was contributing.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am quick to pick up concepts and fill the gaps in my knowledge, I have been told that I am skilled at simplifying concepts using a variety of methods, and I dedicate myself to tasks that are given to me. Despite all that, my greatest strength as a tutor is probably the fact I have been doing something similar to it for so long. I spent the vast majority of my school life explaining maths and science concepts to my peers in an effort to develop their understanding and as a result, I become the go-to guy if you are confused about something. This has continued into university.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The single most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be patient. Everyone learns things at different rates and some things may come more easily than others. If the tutor becomes frustrated it only ends up discouraging and demoralising the student which further affects their study and confidence. Hence, it is vital for a tutor to be patient with their students.

Not much, she understood all of the work after a brief explanation at most.

Gave her some more trigonometry questions. She could answer them, except the one I made purposefully very difficult which she needed help with. She also understood piece-wise functions. We also looked at some more advanced questions.
Again, not much to improve upon, we are both working together to come up with ways to solve the advanced questions which will help her.

Gave some quiz questions on trigonometry and algebra. She got the trig ones easily after i explained the arc functions and the first alegbra ones only slowed her down a little, once I explained the least squares factor she figured it all out. We figured out how one of the complex questions worked.
Again, not too much needs improvement. Her notes and backchecking seem fine.
Kayden could do the fraction work with some errors indicating increased understanding. He also understands the basics of probability and chance.

He sometimes struggle to come up with ways to solve probability problems.
