I enjoy seeing students understand the concept and applying that to all sorts of questions in homework and in exams. I enjoy teaching and explaining at a level where its not too complexMy Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would say my strengths as a tutor is teaching concepts rather than allowing rote learning to occur. This prevents a student from completing questions in an exam they have never seen before. I would also say being patient and relatable to the students are a strength as I have just finished high school.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The main important things a tutor can do for a student are: - To be patient - To set homework - To create a safe space where asking questions and not knowing the answer IS OKAY! - To understand that not everyone will understand concepts straight away, it may take some time - Implement revision and short 5-10 minute quizzes at the beginning of each lesson to test the students knowledge on what was learnt in the prior lesson - To be kind and approachable so that the student feels comfortable in asking questionsTutoring students in 👦 👧
