What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The process of progressing not only my knowledge on how to teach and communicate, but seeing someone to develop overtime is a rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have tutored my sister and helped her out with certain assessments and seeing her being able to progress with her knowledge that she couldn't do much by herself made my heart sing. Checking her results for the test we studied together and seeing a big improvement was fulfilling for both of us. I understood at that moment of the value of teamwork, and collaboration in tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strength is that I am very collaborative and proactive in the way that I try to communicate with others. If someone does not understand something in one way, I try my best to shift the angle of looking at the topic for them. I understand more than anyone about fears and how they can limit someone's potential - as I have experienced it personally in Year 12. I want to use my collaborative and communication skills to incline students to face these fears and overcome challenges in front of them, whether that is their studying technique, mindset, or the content that they're learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that instilling self-belief and critical thinking is the most important things a tutor can do for their student. Reflecting on my year 12 as got a score that I felt wasn't enough for medicine (96.00 ATAR), I have learnt to become someone who is collaborative and believes in a growth mindset after my a failure. in Year 12. I believe that if someone puts their mind and heart into a subject, they will be able to achieve a score that they are absolutely sure about. I want to make sure a student can reflect for themselves to reach their best potential with a growth mindset.
