What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy being able to help students understand what they are learning the most. Going through year 11 and 12 myself, there were times where I had no support when I couldn't understand anything. This motivated me to help students that need that helping hand to really understand what they are learning and also help them to understand how they can apply this to the outside world.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor include knowing that everyone works at a different pace. Furthermore, I think that teaching is more than just memorising what a textbook says but rather it is important to understand what we are learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Helping the student gain a deep understanding into what they are learning. Guiding students on the right track without doing problems for them. Asking the students to problem solve and critical think about what they are learning.

Gail has started to get a good grasp of transposing formulas and does very well to substitute values of the different variables to find the missing variable. Gail has understood how to find the distance and midpoints by either using the formula or by using graphs.
Gail does need some assistance when working on tougher transposing the formula questions but she is definitely improving.
Gail has understood really well what the gradient of a straight line means and how to find the gradient using rise/run.
Gail has understood really well what the gradient of a straight line means and how to find the gradient using rise/run.
Gail needs some more assistance with understanding what the context of the questions is, what information the question is giving and how to then use that information to solve questions. However, that will come with practice. Me and Gail weren't able to work much on graphing straight lines using formulas so we will need to work on that in our next session.

Gail is able to solve linear equations well. She can also construct and solve linear equations and simultaneous equations with some guidance. She is able to understand how solving linear inequalities is similar to solving linear equations.
Gail needs some guidance when trying to solve tougher linear equations especially when fractions are involved. She also needs some future help in being able to discern which equation to pick to make questions more readily solvable and less tricky for herself. Overall however, she has started off really well and I will be giving her plenty of tips and tricks on how to improve which I am sure she will.
