What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
What I enjoy most about tutoring is that it gives me an opportunity to help those in need. I believe even child deserves the chance to reach their full potential and have the ability to fulfil their desires for the future. If I can be someone that helps them get just a step closer to achieving their dreams, it would be an opportunity I would be extremely grateful for. Furthermore it gives me great joy when I'm able to awaken passion within students, to learn, to improve and be the best they can be. Encouraging and nurturing this passion is something that will allow for long term growth.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
My strengths as a tutor involve the willingness to always improve. I am always tailoring my tutoring approach ( to become more interactive) as well as my communication style, to provide the most stimulating environment.
My communication skills have always helped me be successful while tutoring. To be patient and resilient is a skill I have gained through my last tutoring experience. I believe remaining empathetic and resilient during challenging situations is extremely important.
Furthermore, I believe I can create a comfortable, non judgemental environment, allowing for true development.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help build/maintain self confidence as well as to incite a love of learning by awakening curiosity. Throughout the course of life, it is rather difficult to maintain self confidence due to the never ending competition we face. Having been on this journey myself, I believe that self confidence is key to accessing ones true capabilities. To encourage that belief within ones self, that they are capable, together with inciting a passion for learning will allow the child to truly develop and grow.

She should be completing the homework set for her to the best of her abilities. Japleen also needs more practice with spelling.
Jappen is a quick learner and is pronouncing words better already. She has also gained a strong understanding of nouns, verbs and adjectives.

She is having difficulty with pronouncing long words and therefore has a tough time spelling them as she does not sound them out.
Japleen was very eager to learn and open minded, therefore was able to understand some key concepts I taught her, such as how to better read long words.

I believe there can be an improvement in how much Japleen reads. If she was to read more books, it would really help her pronunciation.
I was able to tell Amilia what a linear relationship is and how it looks on a graph. I believe it went well as she understood the basic concept.

Amilia should tell me the content she wants help on a day or a few hours before the class, instead of in it, so I have more time to prepare the lesson.
