Personally, I believe the most enjoyable and rewarding part about being a tutor is seeing my students develop not only academically, but also as people. I believe the most important trait of being a tutor is to be a role model to your students. It is important to not only help your students to learn and understand concepts, but also to be a positive influence to that student in every aspect of their life. Tutoring is a holistic service that should encompass more than just teaching, and while learning is an integral part of a tutoring service, I believe mentoring students into becoming confident and bright personalities ready for the real world is almost equally as important.
