What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe that tutoring is a valuable experience for myself that gives back to the community whilst also presenting me with the opportunity to bestow my knowledge and experience onto young learners. For me, this is an inspirational act as I gain a sense of fulfilment from nurturing the talents of students, seeing them improve and achieve their academic goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Having experience with kids from a wide range of age groups, I know how to interact in such a way as to bring the best teaching experience to them. I believe learning should be an adaptive and fun process, rather than an arduous one, and I have the inspiration to bring forth this vision.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider the transference of inspiration to the student to be the most important and fulfilling thing a tutor can achieve. From inspiration births a work ethic, an attitude and an independence within the student that carries through their whole life. I believe that as an individual, you are your own CEO, CMO, CFO etc. As such, by teaching the control of academics and study habits, it is possible to install a hard working attitude into any student in such a way as to encourage them to grip their own life with their hands.

More work is needed on latent heat of fusion and evaporation. Future lessons will revise specific heat capacity.
Kornel was able to grasp the idea of a pie graph well. However, more complex calculations with algebraic manipulation is lacking.

Kornel needs to revise algebraic manipulation as we are wasting a lot of time in our lessons reviewing the concept (which we have done previously). Furthermore, I encourage Kornel to take notes of ALL lessons during his class, and to finish his homework. This is done in the interest of remembering and understanding key concepts.
Kornel is fast at calculating scientific notation. Furthermore, Kornel is getting better at index laws.

Significant figures. As well as reviewing/marking homework from previous weeks which falls predominantly onto me. In the future the lessons will be hybrid of reviewing as well as completing past/present worksheets.

However, Kornel and I have went over the methods of solving a linear equation multiple times already and is still not comfortable with the topic. Extra practice is needed. Furthermore, we are still wasting a lot of time on waiting for Kornel to finish his note taking, it would be more productive if Kornel took notes as I wrote them down or wrote a bit faster. This is also an issue with online learning as my writing can be blocked by the camera sometimes, however this will be resolved by next lesson. Furthermore, Kornel should have all of his maths work in the room with him so that we can refer to it during lessons. Today I asked him to bring out the stock market sheet we worked on last lesson and he said it was with his mum. I suggest he keep folders for different types of work, e.g. homework, school work and worksheets so that it is easy to access.
